I would like to ask: what's the best (performance-wise and 'low number of bugs'-wise) 32-bit Windows 7 driver version for the ATI Xpress 200m / 1150 integrated laptop videocard? I am currently using the driver from Windows Update. (According to Device Manger, the Windows Update provided drivers are dated 2008-12-01 and the version is 8.561.0.0.) Should I stick with it or should I install the last available version provided by ATI on their website (legacy ATI Catalyst 10.2 drivers)? Or should I get another version? My main concern is performance, lesser amount of bugs and stability.

Apr 12, 2013 - Free Download ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series Graphics Driver 8.383.0.0 for Vista/Windows 7 (Graphics Board).
The videocard will be used to play mostly old games that support up to Pixel Shader 1.4. I will also be watching H264 videos (with CoreAVC). The ATI website also does not seem to offer driver versions 10.2 and below for Windows 7 as a download, only the XP / Vista versions. (The Vista versions of the drivers are available only for Xpress 1150 and Xpress 200, not 200m, for some reason).
Will the XP / Vista drivers work in Windows 7? The change logs between the driver versions can be viewed here:. Radeon Xpress 200 / 1150 series Wikipedia article.
Want me to make the latest 10.8 desktop drivers work for you? Go to the device manager. Right click video card. Change dropdown to hardware ids.

Copy/paste the results from there to a new post here. Also, download the desktop driver from the link below.
Run it to extract to C: ATI then immediately close the installer after extraction. Go to C: ATI and look inside the driver folder for the.inf at top, while in order. Zip it and attach to a post so I can edit it for you.
